NABARD Supported Projects

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is supporting SWERA to implement two projects: LEDP (Livelihood and Entrepreneurship Development Project) and MEDP (Micro-Enterprise Development Project).

In both the projects, Joint Liability Groups of women are formed, small savings are promoted, groups are linked with groups and efforts are made to promote livelihood among them. Apart from loans from banks for livelihood, entrepreneurship promotion training and exposure visits are organised. Several women have started their micro enterprises and started livelihood activities, mainly rearing of Sirohi breed of goats
